Every metropolitan area in Illinois is seeing gains on the jobs front but the Decatur area saw the biggest improvement between June 2013 and June 2014. Hoban says there are three or four manufacturing projects underway that will help bring the unemployment rate down even further. He says a Chinese company is planning to drop 150-million-dollars into the PPG manufacturing plant. They'll retrofit the facility and manufacture automotive glass there.
