Hayner Public Library and all libraries in central and southern Illinois will soon join forces to offer patrons even more choices when it comes to books, CD's, DVD's, e-books and other materials.  More than 580 libraries in the state have joined the new Illinois Heartland Library District, and that will mean you can check out books not only from a library in the River Bend, but from one as far away as Peoria or Cardondale.

Duvernoy comment

To transition to the new system, local library patrons will have some limitations on checking out items from other libraries, as well as their library histories, over the next few weeks, but all the Hayner locations will remain open during that time. The new computer system goes on line April 9.  For more information on the changes, you can find more at www.haynerlibrary.org
