Monsanto's weed killers are coming under fire, and some say the company's herbicide is actually creating superweeds.  A report in the "New York Times" says using Monsanto-produced Roundup can change the ecology of the soil.  Scientists say they've seen pesticides steal nutrients from plants and that using the herbicides can create weeds resistant to the chemicals that then need extra treatment.

The Creve-Coeur-based company dismisses the claims, saying there's "no credible evidence" to suggest its products are harming the soil.
