The Alton Branch of the NAACP is putting together the final plans for their annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration Service. This year’s service is the 36th annual, and will be this Sunday, January 17th.

NAACP President James Gray says the event is always popular and that he is looking forward to seeing another “packed house”.  He tells The Big Z this year's theme is “Bonding the Broken in the Face of Injustice.”
