A new study finds Missouri ranks in the bottom half on a list of the best states to earn a living. MoneyRates.com finds Missouri finishes 20th on a list of all 50 states. Using categories such as income, cost of living and unemployment the website created an adjusted income to rank each state.
The study found the adjusted average income in Missouri was just below 36-thousand dollars. Virginia and Washington state finished one-and-two with adjusted incomes of more than 43-thousand dollars and Hawaii was last at 22-thousand dollars.
