The Mississippi Earthtones Festival returns to downtown Alton on Saturday. The festival, now in its 10th year is on Saturday September 17th, and organizers say the new Broadway location has been a good fit for the festival. The festival will feature conservation, music, food, and art and this year a recycled fashion show.

The show encourages artists and designers to utilize waste by creating garments that turn it into fashion.  Co-organizer Sara McGibany tells The Big Z at least 50% of the garment must be made of recycled reused or waste materials in order to participate.
