It’s been 10 years since the Illinois Family Relief Fund was created, and Governor Pat Quinn says donations are still needed. Quinn says the fund helps families get by financially while their loved one is serving overseas. Sergeant Jason Hoster with the Illinois National Guard participated in the program during his two deployments to Afghanistan and Kuwait.
Since it began a decade ago, the fund has helped more than 27 thousand military families in Illinois with nearly 15 million dollars in grants. To donate, click on this story at AltonDailyNews.com and follow the link.
