Scammers are always looking for new twists on old schemes, but sometimes they recycle the more successful ones.  One that seems to be making a comeback involves the criminal calling you, claiming to be from Microsoft Tech Support.  In some cases, a pop-up on your computer will try and convince you to call them.

Better Business Bureau Investigator Bill Smith tells The Big Z this is one of the most widespread scams in the United States, right behind the phony IRS agent scam.

Smith says some of the trouble can include convincing you to send them a lot of money to “fix” your computer, or obtaining remote access to install Malware.  He says if you get one of these calls just hang up.
