Country music superstars continue to be brought into the Riverbend to raise funds for worthwhile charities.  Earlier this year, Marty Stewart played to raise funds for Senior Services Plus.  This morning on Z-1570, plans were revealed to have Mickey Gilley play at the Hatheway Hall at Lewis & Clark Community College in Godfrey as a fundraiser for the Alton Area Animal Aid Association.

The 5A's Ric Jun made the announcement on Let's Talk.

Gilley is a former winner of the Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year award, and was inducted into the Delta Music Hall of Fame in 2002.  The concert at Hatheway Hall will be held April 12.  Tickets go on sale December 11.
