Two men from Troy, Illinois, perished during a recent fishing trip to Silver Lake near Highland.  Authorities say it appears their johnboat capsized as they were heading back to shore early Saturday morning.  The Madison County Coroner's Office identified the men as 26 year old David T. Foss, and 22 year old Benjamin J. Zarzeck.

The men went to the lake Friday night, and their families say there were very familiar with the 18 acre body of water and were avid fishermen.  Both families realized neither man returned home Saturday morning and went to the lake to find a truck and boat trailer.  Police and local firefighters from Highland responded and found the bodies of the men along the eastern shore of the lake.   Routine toxicology tests are being conducted, but authorities say it appears to be an accident.  Neither man was wearing a life vest.
