Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner will consider a bill headed to his desk that will expand the conditions that can be treated by medical marijuana, and also expand the program length.  The bill,  sponsored by Alton State Senator Bill Haine, would extend the pilot program by two and a half years and also add Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder to the list of treatable conditions.

The senate voted 50-7 to approve the measure, which had already passed the house with a few changes.  The pilot program, which some say is struggling because more people need to be able to use it, has been extended to July 1, 2020.
