Thousands of applications for medical marijuana usage have been approved and ID cards should be in applicants’ hands in a few days.
Users should be able to buy marijuana from approved dispensaries within the next two weeks, finally putting in place a process years in the making.
“I would anticipate that most patients will be receiving their cards early next week, Monday or Tuesday hopefully,” says Joseph Wright, director of the Illinois Medical Cannabis program.
