Gas prices are on the rise again, with most locations in and around the Riverbend charging more than $4.05 for a gallon of regular unleaded. With some forecasters warning of $4.25 a gallon by summer, officials with Madison County Transit are encouraging residents to consider riding the bus, even if it doesn't drop you off right in front of your destination.

MCT Spokesman SJ Morrison says most routes around town and even into St. Louis are easily completed by bicycle, which you can take with you on the bus.
