With new businesses set to move into Monticello Plaza, the completion of the Illinois Route 255, the completion of U.S. 67 from Godfrey to Delhi, and the expansion of the village’s sewer system, Godfrey Mayor Mike McCormick believes 2013 was a good year for the municipality. However, McCormick also says there will be plenty of work to do in 2014.

He says that the year will start with more improvements to the village's infrastructure.

McCormick Comments

McCormick says that drawing more commercial business to Godfrey remains atop the list of priorities for next year but says that village leaders are committed to expanding commercially while preserving the “quaint neighborhoods” that draw residents to Godfrey.
