A recent report from a public policy group has one state senator questioning Illinois’ priorities during the current budget impasse. Kyle McCarter (R-Vandalia) responds to a report from the group For The Good of Illinois that claims the state made payments to Planned Parenthood, a political blogger and lobbyists, while at the same time telling a federal judge the money to make payments the court ordered for services for the developmentally disabled was not available.
That, according to McCarter, is problematic.

He says it’s time everyone takes an inventory of “our responsibility and the part we are playing whether directly or indirectly” as to how our tax dollars being sent to Springfield are being used. He promises to address both the Planned Parenthood issue and the state budget, and how to prioritize payments.
