May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month.  About 155 Motorcycle riders were killed on Illinois roadways last year.  IDOT's Terry Redman says some of them weren't even licensed to ride.  He also says many of those riders were drunk or had drugs in their systems when they crashed.  He says the bikers should be sure to protect themselves.

Redman says drivers should keep an eye out for the bikers and give them the right-of-way when necessary.  To learn more about Motorcycle safety or to sign up for a free training class, follow the link: www.StartSeeingMotorcycles.org
