The summer months are usually a slow time for the Godfrey Village Board, scaling back to just one meeting per month in July and August. Last night was no exception, with just a handful of issues being voted on by the Godfrey Village Board.
Village Clerk Pam Whistler has been given authorization to enter into an agreement for medical services for first response with Med Express on the Homer Adams Parkway in Alton.

This agreement would be in case an employee suffers a minor injury like a joint sprain or scrapes and bruises. In the case of more serious injuries, employees would still be transported by ambulance to a local hospital. The board also granted a special use permit to allow for a storage unit business and associated signage on West Delmar Avenue. And a proclamation was read declaring the week of August 7 as Marquette High School Girl's Soccer Week in the village.
