Tapping a Maple Tree to collect its sap is a centuries-old skill that results in the creation of Maple Syrup.  You can learn that skill and more about its history at an event coming up Saturday at the entrance to The Oblates on Levis Lane in Godfrey.

"Maple Tapping with LaVista CSA Farm" is co-hosted by The Nature Institute.  Eric Stevens of LaVista CSA tells The Big Z maple syruping is hitting its peak about now.
