An Alton man is headed to prison after he agreed to a plea deal in Madison County Court this week. 26 year old Otis Anderson of the 400 block of East 8th Street, pleaded guilty to aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful delivery of a controlled substance following incidents in 2009.
Anderson reportedly sold cocaine to an undercover informant during a controlled buy near Doorman Park in March of 2009. Anderson also fired several gun shots at the Chess Club on Belle Street in October of that year. A drug charge involving an alleged sale of cocaine to an informant in May of 2011 was dropped in exchange for the guilty plea. Anderson received an eight and a half year sentence, but will get credit for time already served.
