A Jerseyville man has pleaded guilty to making a false bank entry in a case involving a local bank.  29 year old Robert J. Tonsor admitted that while he was an employee of Carrollton Bank in Alton he made false bank entries on the bank's Alton Drive Up Balance Sheet.  Tonsor admitted making the false entries in order to conceal his theft of funds.

The case against him indicated shortages of about $105,000 at the bank.  Tonsor was sentenced to 30 days in prison, and 11 months of home confinement with electronic monitoring.  He will also have 3 years of supervised release.  He has already paid back the stolen money to the bank.
