A rural Edwardsville man is dead after a Thanksgiving Day fire.  Flames broke out early yesterday morning at a farmhouse in the 9000 block of Pin Oak Road.  The body of an elderly man was found in a second story bedroom once the flames were extinguished.  The name of the victim hasn't been released.

Investigators say the fire doesn't appear to be suspicious in nature and due to the construction of the home, fire crews were on the scene until mid-morning.  The fire was called in just after 1:00am Thursday with fire fighters from Marine, St. Jacob, Hamel and Edwardsville responding the scene.  While the fire does not appear to be suspicious, authorities with the Illinois State Fire Marshal's Office, the Madison County Sheriff's Department and the responding fire departments will investigate the exact cause.
