An Edwardsville man has been charged in the death of a woman who fell from a moving SUV on Interstate 94 in Cook County earlier this week.   28 year old Michael D. Johnson is charged with aggravated driving under the influence involving death, aggravated fleeing and eluding, and leaving the scene of a fatal accident.  The victim is identified as 27 year old Jennifer Mitchell of Chicago.

The Illinois State Police report Johnson was the driver of the the victims SUV at the time Mitchell either jumped or was pushed from the vehicle on Tuesday.  After falling, Mitchell was struck by a tractor trailer and a car.  Police say Johnson crashed the SUV then fled on foot but was later captured by troopers from District 15.  He is scheduled to appear in Cook County Court today in Markham to face the charges.
