Authorities say a Metro-East mall is safe after it was evacuated and shut down for a bomb threat. Police bomb dogs from multiple agencies spent over four hours Thursday searching the St. Clair Square. The bomb threat came in shortly before 4:00 in the afternoon, and Fairview Heights police immediately notified the mall to begin evacuating everyone.
It took ten minutes to get people out, and authorities searched over 140 stores and ten restaurants before giving the all-clear.
