American Red Cross teams from around the nation are heading to the Southeast to help with the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew.  With millions of people leaving their homes in search of shelter, the American Red Cross has some tips for helping you stay in contact with loved ones that have evacuated.

Matthew is one of the strongest hurricanes to bear down on the east coast in several years.  Cooper says the biggest challenge in responding to the needs of those impacted is to be close enough to the areas that have been hit by the storm that they can get in there quickly, but not so close that they are put at risk as well.
