What is described as a major water main break in Grafton has left nearly the whole town dry.  The break happened sometime this morning, and crews are working to get service restored by this afternoon.  As a result, Raging Rivers Water Park has closed for the day.

Due to the severity of the break, city officials say once the repairs are made, it will take some time until the lines are refilled.  That means full pressure may not be back until at least 10:00 tonight.  The Jersey County Health Department has been contacted for guidance in getting the town's restaurants open in time for the dinner crowd.  Once water service has been restored, there will be a boil order in effect for at least 36 hours.  Stay tuned to Z-1570 for the latest updates.
