The St. Louis Area Major Case Squad has been activated to investigate the death of a man in Madison earlier this week. 43 year old Kenneth Deal of Venice was found shot Monday afternoon near Washington and Third Street in Madison and police are looking for a person of interest. Deal later died at a local hospital.
Authorities have recovered a vehicle that is connected with the case, after police pursued it from Illinois into Missouri Monday afternoon. The driver of the vehicle escaped in St. Louis but the Major Case Squad released photos of the suspect, a light skinned black male in his mid 20s who is known on both sides of the river. He has a tattoo of a star on his left hand with the number five in the middle. The St. Louis Regional Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,000 reward for any information leading to an arrested in the homicide.
