Alton Main Street hosts quarterly meetings called “What’s Up Downtown,” and the next one is this afternoon (Tuesday). The featured speakers will be James Rogalsky and Lauren Pattan, the husband and wife team opening The Old Bakery Beer Company later this year.
The city’s first microbrewery will be located in the old Colonial Bakery on Landmarks Boulevard. Alton Main Street Executive Director Sara McGibany says Rogalsky and Pattan will be giving an update on their progress

Plans are for the Old Bakery Beer Company to be operational early in 2015, and to offer creative, high quality food and handcrafted beers with organically grown hops and malt. Today’s event will be held at the Jacoby Arts Center on Broadway from 5:30-7pm, and the public is invited to attend.
Serving the areas of Alton, Godfrey, East Alton, Wood River, Roxana, Edwardsville, Jerseyville, Brighton, Bethalto, Grafton, Granite City, Hartford, Highland, Troy, Fairview Heights, Belleville and the surrounding cities.
