The Madison County Community Development Office is accepting applications to assist eligible homeowners and renters with the installation of energy saving measures to the applicant's home. The weatherization will include stopping air infiltration, caulking and weather-stripping, and sealing off by-passes. The program also will include furnace and air conditioner inspections for health, safety, and mechanical operations.

Funding for these energy saving measures is provided by the U.S. Department of Energy, the U.s. Department of Health and Human Services, and the State of Illinois. Madison county homeowners interested in the program should contact Abby Helms at Madison County Community Development by calling 618-296-6489.
