There's still no end in sight for the traffic headaches suffered by motorists who usually head into Missouri from Alton. The Missouri Department of Transportation closed the lower lanes of U.S. 67 from the Clark Bridge in Alton to Highway 94 in St. Charles County about a week ago, and it will stay closed for the time being.
Water is still covering much of the highway between the two bridges, so MoDOT spokesman Shonda White tells The Big Z the closure continues.

White says there are still no plans to re-route southbound traffic onto the northbound lanes.
