The Elijah P. Lovejoy June Memorial Service is scheduled for Sunday afternoon, and will be held at Lovejoy Elementary School in Alton. Former educator in the district, Vernetta Caffey, will be the guest speaker, which will be highlighted by the awarding of numerous scholarships at Alton High School students.

The Reverend Gregory Denton, Pastor of the Bread of Life Fellowship Church, will provide the invocation and benediction. Trustee with the foundation Ed Gray says the program will begin at 4pm.
