The Illinois Lottery is re-launching an instant ticket that helps support HIV and AIDS prevention and treatment. The redesigned Red Ribbon Cash instant ticket is expected to raise $1 million. The profits from ticket sales fund HIV and AIDS prevention education and grants to public and private organizations that serve the highest at-risk groups for contracting HIV or developing AIDS.

“With all of the net revenues from the ticket sales going toward HIV-AIDS prevention and education grants, we will be able to provide needed funds for the organizations that serve groups most at risk for contracting HIV AIDS,” said State Sen. Jacqueline Collins (D-Chicago). The $3 “Red Ribbon Cash” ticket was initially launched in 2008.
