Four Godfrey men were uninjured after a boat they were on hit a dike in the Mississippi River Wednesday. Officials say their 45-foot-long cruiser became stuck after hitting the horseshoe dike, ripping a fairly large hole in the hull. The boat was on its way to Alton after starting its journey in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
The boat had actually been sitting at Green Turtle Bay at Kentucky Lake for about a month when the four-man crew went to pick it up. Dave Wickenhauser was on the boat and described conditions near the time of impact:

He says Bill Roe, Mick Monahan and Larry Brown were also on the boat. No one was hurt.
