Calvary Baptist Church in Alton is planning a Living Nativity beginning tonight and running through Tuesday. There will be two tours today at 6:45 and 7:45pm, and four more tours tomorrow and Tuesday each half-hour beginning at 5:35pm.
In addition to the manger and the stable, which has been a part of the church's Christmas display for a number of years, there will be two new additions this year- a home and countryside scene, as well as the inn in Bethlehem and King Herod's Palace. Each night, tours will be led by a narrator who tells the Christmas story, and an ensembel will be singing Christmas carols. There are also refreshments available after the tours. Calvary Baptist is located in Upper Alton at the corner of Washington Avenue and Brown Street.
