Springfield’s Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum is reporting a big jump in attendance for 2013. They don’t have the official numbers yet, but through the first eleven months of the year, ten-thousand more people had visited than in all of 2012.
Museum officials say the spike was likely helped by Steven Spielberg's film about the 16th president that created Oscar buzz in the spring. While over 300-thousand people visited the museum in 2013, more than 600-thousand came in 2009, the 200th anniversary.
