Lincoln Hall, one of the centerpiece buildings at the University of Illinois' campus in Champaign, is open again, following a four-year renovation. Today (Monday) is the first day of classes for the fall semester. A ceremony marking the official reopening of the 101-year-old building is planned for homecoming weekend in October.
Biology faculty member Deb Biesler says the work restored what had been a beat-up building to its former glory, but sophomore Matthew Marquez says some of the renovation was fancier than it needed to be.
