A group of community college presidents from several Illinois schools are packing their bags for an early 2015 trip to Cuba.   Fourteen schools from Illinois will visit a variety of medical and art schools, as well as the decision makers that oversee Cuba’s education system.

Lewis & Clark Community College President Dr. Dale Chapman tells The Big Z he was extended an invitation.

He points to a recent trip a LCCC representative took to China to explore the similarities with that country’s community college system.  The Cuba trip will be February 15-22.  This trip was planned before President Barack Obama announced a plan to normalize relations with Cuba.
