If you, or someone you know has any interest in emerging media technologies, then a pair of certificate programs at Lewis and Clark Community College in Godfrey may be worth a look. Starting this fall, the college will be offering an 18-hour New Media Technologies Certificate and a 6-hour Social Media Management Certificate according to Program Coordinator Steve Campbell.
He says the New Media Technologies Certificate offers exposure to several types of equipment and software.

The Social Media Management Certificate will teach students how to create and effectively use social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Word Press. Campbell says knowing how to use those sites properly will make someone more employable because many businesses are looking to increase their online presence.
