Lewis and Clark Community College will be one of eleven Illinois community colleges participating in a statewide electric vehicle road trip later this month. The eleven-college consortium, known as the Illinois Green Economy Network, is hosting the event as a way to showcase the viability of renewable energy in Illinois.

Keener says each college will have a car drive one leg of the event, or from one college to the next nearest and then back again, between June 23 and June 25. L&C’s portion will kick off the second day of the showcase and include a stop in Springfield on the way to Heartland Community College in Bloomington.
