The end of the year is a busy time for lawyers in Madison County who donate time for free legal advice to the low-income residents and for those who provide training to those lawyers. The Third Judicial Court Pro Bono Committee says this season of celebration and thanks is the perfect time to recognize those who donated time throughout the fall months to educate others.
Third Circuit Pro Bono Committee Chair Judge Barb Crowder tells The Big Z the programs have expanded over the past four years.

27 attorneys met with low-income individuals during the months of October, November, and December. The Third Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee reminds all residents of Madison County that free legal appointments to low income individuals who do not have attorneys are available by appointment on any legal subject except criminal law on the second and fourth Wednesday morning of each month and are handled by Recorder of Deeds Amy Meyer. To make an appointment or volunteer, call 296-5921 or email Pro Bono Coordinator Angela Wille at firstname.lastname@example.org .
