Governor Pat Quinn doesn’t spend much time in Springfield during the year but one lawmaker wants to change that. Jacksonville Republican State Representative C.D. Davidsmeyer has filed a resolution urging Quinn to make the Governor’s mansion his home during the legislative session. He claims it’ll give Quinn more opportunity to work with lawmakers on major issues.
According to a recent study, Quinn spent just 50 days doing work in Springfield between July 1st, 2012 and June 30th 2013. If the resolution is adopted, Quinn still wouldn’t be obligated to live in Springfield full time.
