It's the final week to cast an early vote in your local elections.  Some cities, towns, and villages are looking for new mayors, village presidents, school board members, and other elected positions.  Just bring a valid photo ID with you when you vote.

There are several races throughout Madison County is which a write-in candidate is challenging those with a spot on the ballot.  County Clerk Debbie Ming-Mendoza says in those races, make sure your handwriting is legible.

Ming-Mendoza comments

Saturday is the last day to vote early.  There are several locations around Madison County to vote early, and they can be found at the County Clerk's website.  You can also vote early at the courthouses in Macoupin and Jersey Counties.  Election Day is next Tuesday, April 9.
