If you are still trying to find a costume for Halloween, the Better Business Bureau wants you to remember to protect yourself from shady business practices.  Stores and websites have been known to pop up this time of year and then disappear just as quickly.  The BBB advises you to check unfamiliar businesses before buying.

Smith says leave nothing to chance. Be sure you have a thorough understanding of everything involved before making a purchase.  And he advises paying by credit card in case you have to challenge a purchase later.
