You are being asked to allow more time to cross a pair of local bridges this week. The right lanes of both the Clark Bridge and Chain of Rocks Canal Bridge on I-270 will be closed at various times throughout the week for regular bridge inspections. There are no critical issues being looked at, according to an IDOT engineer.
IDOT Bridge Maintenance Engineer Tim Krumm tells The Big Z they are closing the bridges at times when traffic should be less.
