You can expect to see a lot of police on Illinois roads through the Labor Day weekend.  Hundreds of local police departments will team with their state counterparts to keep an eye out for drivers breaking the law.

Illinois State Police Trooper Calvin Dye says Labor Day is not necessarily any more dangerous than the other holidays.

Police will also be looking for drivers and passengers who aren’t wearing a seatbelt.  State law requires everyone in the car to be buckled up.
