The race for the seat in the Illinois House of Representatives that was held by Ron Stephens now has a third member as Highland businessman Steve Klingbeil has annoucned intentions to run for the same seat, he sought months ago when former House Representative Stephens resigned.

Citing frustrations with decisions that law makers have made, including a decision to levy a 67 percent increase in the states income tax, Klingbeil says that it is time to send people to Springfield who believe in passing meaninful legislation.

He will be fighting the incumbant Paul Evans, who was appointed by GOP leaders in August and against Don Weber, who also sought the seat representing the 108th House District. The primary election is March 20th and so far there are no Democratic representatives on the ballot.
