The River Bend Growth Association is leading the effort this week to encourage everyone to do business in the River Bend. Whether it's shopping local, working with a local attorney, or hiring a local contractor, the RBGA is supporting Small Business Week and asks that all residents take time, and their money, to a local business.

Cash Mob Events are taking place today at St. Peter's Hardware and Rental in Alton, and Tuesday at Precision Electrical and Lighting in Bethalto. The idea is to show up at those businesses with $20 and spend it there starting at 11am. Later this week, local businesses will gather at Raging Rivers for a big Business After Hours event.
