State Rep. Dwight KayThe National Council on Compensation Insurance issued information this week saying the statewide average workers’ compensation rate in Illinois has dropped 4.5%.  Officials say the figure set by a national rating agency continues a downward trend that has saved Illinois employers $315 million in insurance premium costs since 2011.

State Representative Dwight Kay (R-Glen Carbon) was pleased to hear the report.

He says the state needs to rebound and push for more reforms to stop what he calls the exodus of workers and families from Illinois.
