A local lawmaker says school districts in Illinois should ignore the results of a standardized exam recently given to schools across the state.  Republican Dwight Kay of Glen Carbon says the recent controversy surrounding the PARCC test prompted action by a house committee.

Kay says the test has been an issue in all parts of the state and there appears to be growing support to get rid of it.
