While a man recovers from multiple gunshot wounds sustained late Saturday night, his alleged attackers are behind bars, now charged in the crime.  Investigators have charged 16-year-old Orlanduis M. Lacey (pictured, top) of the 1,600 block of Maupin Street in Alton as an adult, and 18-year-old Lamount Lastie (pictured, bottom) of the 1,000 block of Union Street, also of Alton.

Police say the pair shot the victim just before 11pm Saturday as he sat on his porch in the 400 block of North Kingdom.  They believe Lacey was the trigger man, hence the charges as an adult.  Both are charged with Aggravated Battery with a Firearm and Home Invasion.  Bethalto Police were assisted by canine units from Alton and the Illinois State Police and they were able to track down two people within 90 minutes and make arrests in the 100 block of Hampton, which is just a half-mile away from the shooting.  The victim was last reported to be hospitalized in stable condition.  Both suspects are being held on a $250,000 bond.
