A Madison County judge has ordered the defendant in a terrorism case be evaluated for fitness for trial.  18-year-old Keaun Cook of Godfrey was awaiting word on a possible change in bail requirements, but that decision has been postponed until this evaluation has been completed.

Madison County State’s Attorney Tom Gibbons has asked a judge to rule on a request that would require the full amount of $150,000 be paid before  Cook  could be freed to await trial.  He tells The Big Z Associate Judge Jennifer Hightower requested the fitness evaluation be completed before ruling on bond after seeing Cook in court.

Cook was charged last week with making a terrorist threat and material support for terrorism, both felonies.
